Overview
Friendship Feud is a full-stack, real-time multiplayer quiz platform built for friends-andfamily quiz nights in Malta. A host builds a quiz in rounds, puts the lobby on the big screen, and players join from their phones with a short code. Questions, timers, answers and the leaderboard stay in sync over WebSockets.
Who it's for
Friend groups and families who want a proper quiz night at home, and the one person who always ends up hosting it. Players need nothing but a phone browser; the host needs a TV or laptop.
Problem and solution
The problem
Running a quiz night by hand is a lot of work. Someone has to write the questions, read them out, collect answers on paper, mark them, add up the scores and settle arguments, and then it all disappears. Generic quiz apps are built for pubs or classrooms, so they have no memory of who won last month, no head-to-head rivalries and nothing that feels like your group.
The solution
The host builds rounds in minutes, either by hand, from a saved question bank, or by letting AI generate a round for a category and then editing it. Play is live: faster correct answers and streaks score more, results appear instantly, and the TV view shows the join code, player intros and the leaderboard between rounds. Every answer is saved, so scores, accuracy by category, win streaks, podiums and head-to-head records build up night after night.
